St. Louis Attractions - Museums

The St. Louis Metro area has a wide variety of museums, with many of them free to the public. Spend a day in each or spend a day seeing all, you will enjoy any that you choose! The Moto Museum, a unique motorcycle museum, and the Kemp Auto Museum will thrill those who love all things shiny and fast! For those who enjoy St. Louis history, visit the Campbell House, the Tower Grove House, the Thomas Sappington House, Daniel Boone's home or the Hawken House. These are homes of some of the first St. Louisans and have been restored to portray the time when they lived in the homes.

Between 1821 and 1826, St. Charles Missouri was the site of Missouri's first State Capitol. A museum is in the exact building that housed the Capital and depicts it's use during that time period. Another museum is The Soldiers Memorial Military Museum. Located in downtown St. Louis, it has a large display of memorabilia and honors those St. Louisans who died in World War I. The Magic House is a wonderful hands on museum and will delight children of all ages! And a visit to the St. Louis Art Museum is a must for lovers of art. It is housed in the only building that still remains from the 1904 World's Fair.
