The Glen Carbon Heritage Museum is housed in a 1914 renovated brick school house located in the "Old Town" section of Glen Carbon. The museum has many artifacts, memorabilia, and photographs of the people and their lives of Glen Carbon. Audio and video tapes of interviews of residents, as well as the minutes of the United Mine Workers Union No. 686 are all part of the many treasures the museum holds. See website for current hours of operation.
