The Village of Millstadt is located in St. Clair County, Illinois and is about 35 minutes southeast of Downtown St. Louis via Routes 3 and then 158. Important roads for the community are Jefferson/Route 163, Illinois Ave/158, Polk, Madison, Triple Lakes Road and others. The Village of Millstadt was incorporated in 1875.
Residents in Millstadt are served by the Millstadt Community Consolidated School District #160. It is an elementary school district and provides education for students from preschool to 8th grade. Student in grades Pre-school to 2nd Grade attend the Millstadt Primary Center and students in Grades 3rd through 8th attend the Millstadt Consolidated School. High school students will attend either Belleville West High School in District #201 or Freeburg High School in District #77. St James Catholic School is also located in Millstadt and provides a private, Catholic education for students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Millstadt is home to several city parks, City Park, Elm Street Park and Pine Street Nature Trail. Amenities include ball diamonds, picnic pavilions and tables, tennis courts, the Millstadt City Pool, horseshoe courts, walking trails, playgrounds, basketball courts, soccer fields and more. The Village Park Department hosts two annual events, the Parks Biathalon and the Maifest. The Biathalon is a 5 mile run and then a 22 mile bike race and open to participants 16 years and up. Maifest is held in May and is a festival that includes food, games and music. Proceeds from both events benefit the Millstadt parks. The Triple Lakes Golf Course, found on Triple Lakes Road, is a public 18-hole course and hosts leagues and tournaments.
Millstadt is also home to the Eckert's Country Store and Farms. Eckert's Millstadt Farm is known for its "pick-your-own" crops such as apples, pumpkins and Christmas trees after Thanksgiving. It is also famous for its Fall family activities like the Haunted Hayrides and of course the children's entertainment farm. It even puts on several festivals, the Apple Fest in September and The Jumpin' Pumpkin Jamboree in October. Both festivals have live entertainment, food and children's activities as well as picking apples or pumpkins, depending on what festival you attend-take your pick!
