Little Dixie Highway
The Little Dixie Highway is 30 miles of State Highway 79 that runs between between Clarksville, MO and Hannibal, MO. It is a portion of the scenic byway "The Great River Road" and runs through parts of three counties, Pike, Ralls, and Marion Counties of Missouri. This area of Missouri was given the name "Little Dixie" because many of the people who settled in Clarksville, Louisiana, and Hannibal came from Kentucky, Tennessee and other parts of southern United States.
