This is one of the oldest parades in the area and it is a major event for the African-American community which raises funds for the Annie Malone Children and Family Services. While the first parade was held in either 1909 or 1910, it became an annual event in 1922. The parade for many years was held in north St. Louis, however as the size of participants and spectators grew, it was moved to Downtown St. Louis. Held in May each year, parade goers will enjoy seeing marching bands, dancers, performers, and much more. See website for all the information.
