The Edison Theatre is located on the campus of Washington University in University City, Missouri. It serves as the teaching facility of the Performing Arts Department at Wash U. With the seating capacity of 656, it is also the venue for the professional "OVATIONS!" and "ovations!" for young people series, performed by national and international touring artists and companies. The Edison Theatre is also used by local artist organizations. The variety of performances that can be found at the Edison is wide. Ballet, jugglers, comedians, musicians, concerts, plays, vocalists, dance, just to name a few. Some performances are also held at the Edison Theatre's 560 Music Center (E. Desmond Lee Concert Hall) located at 560 Trinity Avenue in University City. Tickets can be ordered online, by phone, or by mail, as well as at the Box Office, Monday through Saturday, and on performance day one hour before the performance.
