This beautiful urban park is located in the city of St. Louis, between 8th and 10th Streets and Chestnut and Market Streets within what is called the "Gateway Mall". Citygarden was completed and open to the public in the Summer of 2009. The addition of the park to the Gateway Mall continues the plans put in place back in 1907 to have an urban green space in downtown the length of the area between Chestnut and Market Streets.
Visitors, young and old, will enjoy the truly unique sculptures. There are 24 large art sculptures, some placed artistically throughout the landscaping, which features native Missouri plants, and several are incorporated in water features, including a spray plaza with 102 vertical jets of water. Citygarden is also a place for a contemplative break during a busy day or a place for friends to gather on the outdoor patio at Kaldi's at Citygarden. Citygarden is open everyday of the year and is free.
