Madison County Golf Information

There are many golf courses in Madison County. Some are public with many being owned by the municipalities in which they are found such as the Robert Wadlow Municipal Golf Course in Alton. Anyone can play at public courses with tee times on a "first come, first served" basis. Other golf courses are semi-private and might have a yearly membership fee with added benefits such as Stonebridge Golf Club in Maryville. Members get first choice of tee times and if there are any left for a particular day, then non-members can play. There are also private golf courses, such as the Lockhaven Country Club in Godfrey, that a yearly membership fee is charged on top of the initial fee that was paid to first become a member. Private courses are the most exclusive and can only be used by members and their guests. The courses also vary in size as well as design such as the 9-hole course that is found at the public Rock Spring Golf Course in Alton or the 27-hole public Oak Brook Golf Club in Edwardsville. All in all, Madison County has a golf course for everyone!
