The Franz Park Neighborhood is located at the far western edge of the City of St. Louis. It is considered to be part of the area known as "Dogtown" in the St. Louis area. The boundaries for the neighborhood are Dale Avenue on the north and east, Manchester on the south and the City Limits on the west. Surrounding neighborhoods are the Hi-Pointe Neighborhood to the north, Clayton-Tamm to the east and the Ellendale Neighborhood to the south. St. Louis County and the communities of Maplewood and Richmond Heights lie to the west.
The St. Louis Public School District serves the residents of the Franz Park Neighborhood. The Wilkinson Early Childhood Center Elementary School is a Magnet School for grades Preschool through 2nd grade. Wilkinson is located in the old Roe School building on Prather Street that was opened in 1921.
The St. Louis City maintained Franz Park is located within the neighborhood. The park features 4.67 acres of parkland, a playground, horseshoe courts, two softball fields, a soccer field, and tennis courts.
The St. Louis Public Library has a branch located in Franz Park Neighborhood, the Marketplace Branch which can be found on Manchester Avenue.
