St Louis Globe Democrat

The St Louis Globe-Democrat was founded in 1852 and was published as a daily newspaper until 1986. It was the conservative voice in print for the St. Louis area. In 2009, an online-only version emerged using the "St. Louis Globe Democrat" name and provided news and information about St Louis sports, entertainment, weather, business, opinion, health and other topics. Only a little bit more than year after it was established, the St. Louis Globe Democrat online version shut down due to financial problems.
