The Susan G. Komen Race For A Cure is a large annual event held in June in downtown St Louis for a great cause. It is a 5K run/walk race event where every participant is either a breast cancer survivor, knows a breast cancer survivor or runs in memory of a friend or family member who has died from breast cancer. In years past this event has been very successful where there have been over 65,000 participants and the event raised over $3,250,000! Proceeds go to funding breast cancer research, facilities and organizations. See the website for more information.
